Ryan McDermott Obituary, Cause of Death – Derry, NH Man Dies Unexpectedly at 40

Ryan McDermott, 40, of Derry, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 13, 2025, just three days after his 40th birthday.

According to his obituary published by Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Ryan died due to accidental substance-related causes.

Born on May 10, 1985, Ryan was remembered as a caring and loyal son, brother and father. He was known for his kind heart, bright spirit, love of music and contagious laugh that brought happiness to those around him.

Ryan was a devoted father to his daughter, Emily McDermott, whom he loved deeply. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Sevigny, and stepfather, Dave Sevigny; his father, David McDermott, and stepmother, Angelica McDermott; and his brothers, Aaron McDermott, Kevin McDermott and Marcus Sevigny.

He also leaves behind a loving extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as the love of his life, Liz Bidot.

Ryan was preceded in death by his brother, Casey McDermott, whom he is remembered as now joining in eternal rest.

His family remembers Ryan through the good times they shared, his sense of humor and the love he showed for his daughter and family. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
